D&G woodlands are once again administering the D&G tree planting grant scheme which supports small tree planting projects across the region with funding of up to £1000. This includes all trees, tree guards, stakes and associated fencing costs.
The scheme can be used to plant native trees or heritage fruit trees in schools, local communities, private land, or farms. It cannot be used to plant trees in private-enclosed gardens, areas over 0.25Ha, or where tree planting is a requirement under felling licence or planning consent. The scheme runs until the end of March 2026.
