Lairdmannoch Energy Park

There is a proposal from a company called Wind2 to create a combined wind/solar/battery energy park at Lairdmannoch, near Glengap. The location of the development is mainly to the north of Loch Mannoch, with access routes from the B727 at the east side of Gatehouse of Fleet and the A762 near Barstobrick as shown on the map below:

The project is planned to have up to 9 wind turbines which would measure 180m (590ft) in height, 20 MW capacity of solar photovoltaic panels and 20 MW of battery storage. Lairdmannoch Design and Access Statement

There have been objections to the project from some local community groups, led by the Glengap Community Group. They have prepared the following document that lists their objections:
