The Borgue area is served by a network of minor roads as shown on the image below. The B727 from Kirkcudbright to Gatehouse is the highest rated road in the Borgue area but is marked as ‘unsuitable for HGVs’ between Barharrow and Blackbriggs. Access to the area for large vehicles is via the A755 to High Borgue then down the C54S to join the B727 near Borgue village. National cycle route 7 follows the B727 from Kirkcudbright to Borgue then goes along the C8S along the Kirkandrews coast and past Knockbrex and Margrie before turning along the C10S towards Rainton and Gatehouse of Fleet.
