Postal Voting
If you would prefer not to vote in person at a polling station, you can vote by post.
The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday 19 June 2024. You must also be registered to vote by 11:59pm on Tuesday 18 June.
If you are a postal voter, you will receive your ballot paper in the post from around 21 June. Please follow the instructions carefully and return it to us by 10pm on 4 July.
Photo ID
To vote in the UK Parliament election on 4 July you will need to show photo ID. This means an original document, not phone images. There are several types of documents you could use – a passport, driver’s licence, blue badge, Scottish National Entitlement Card, Young Scot Card.
