Local Resilience Partnership to Provide Warm Hubs to People Still Without Power Due to Storm Eowyn
We know that people across the region are still feeling the impact of Storm Eowyn.
To help those affected by power outages, Dumfries and Galloway Local Resilience Partnership (LRP) is working with SP Energy Networks (SPEN) to provide additional support to communities still affected by power outages due to Storm Eowyn.
Around 1200 properties remain without power, and SPEN engineers are working tirelessly to restore supply.
On top of the support already in place from SPEN, 12 warm hubs have been set up in areas most impacted by outages. There, the LRP is offering free hot food, drinks, bottled water, heating, phone charging and a friendly environment.
They are open today (Tuesday 28 January) from 1pm–9pm. Council leisure centres are also offering free showers during normal opening hours.
