Swestrans and Dumfries and Galloway Council are currently exploring options for improving active travel links between communities across Dumfries and Galloway. There are six potential routes, which you can explore on the dedicated Dumfries and Galloway Active Travel Routes website:
- Newton Stewart to Wigtown
- Castle Douglas to Dalbeattie
- Dumfires to Glencaple to Caerlaverock
- Gretna to Springfield
- Langholm to Canonbie
- Ecclefechan to Annan
We would like to invite you to attend one of our public drop-in events , which will be taking place over the coming weeks – details of each are provided on the attached poster. Please come along to meet the project team and discuss problems and opportunities in your area that could be addressed through the development of a safe and accessible active travel route.
