Electricity Meter RTS Switch-Off

The following information has been received from Neighbourhood Watch Scotland

Hello from the Neighbourhood Watch Scotland team

NWS is currently collaborating with E-On Next to promulgate critical information in respect of the forthcoming Radio Teleswitch Service (RTS) switch off, scheduled for 30th June 2025. The switch off will affect households using older electricity meters to heat their home and hot water and now need to be replaced (at no cost). Failure to do so could mean that the heating and hot water systems may not work properly. It is vital that we help support members of our communities to ensure that they are not adversely impacted by the switch off deadline as best we can.

As the deadline looms – we respectfully ask to use your networks effectively to cascade this information as you see appropriate. A flier is available here that can be used to disseminate the key message through your own streams including WhatsApp, Social media, workplace Intranets / external websites etc. Leaflets are available if you feel they are of value to you – just give us a shout at info.neighbourhoodwatchscotland.co.uk

Thank you in anticipation for playing a part  in contributing to our vision of ‘Safer Neighbourhoods and Stronger Communities.’

Best wishes
