An update from Wind2 on the planning process for the proposed wind and solar energy park near Glengap.
The application is now live on the Scottish Energy Consent Unit’s portal. You can view the full details and make representations – whether in support or objection – via the following link:

The closing date for representations is 18th July 2025.
As part of our ongoing engagement, we have been monitoring community feedback, including social media. We have noticed some misunderstandings circulating regarding key aspects of the proposal – particularly the access route – and wanted to provide some clarification.
To confirm, the proposed access route remains unchanged from what was presented during our second round of public consultation. I’ve attached a map for reference. The route, previously under consideration through Glenlochar and Laurieston was discounted following receipt of community feedback at the public exhibition events in September 2024. The map being circulated online is from 2023 and was in relation to the request for a Scoping Opinion – this plan is not associated with the Section 36 application submitted to the Scottish Ministers at the beginning of this month.
We worked hard to revise the site design in response to local input, and it was encouraging to hear that many felt the updated plan addressed earlier concerns. We hope this map helps reaffirm our position and supports continued constructive dialogue.
Any assistance you can provide in alleviating the concerns of the local community regarding the access route would be very gratefully received. If there’s anything we can provide – such as visual materials or further detail – to help explain any part of the proposals more clearly, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Kind regards
