Dumfries and Galloway Council, along with The Poverty and Inequalities Partnership, is supporting Challenge Poverty Week 2025. Beginning today, Monday 6 October 2025, there will be a week-long programme of videos, downloadable information and events around 5 key themes:
- Monday – Social Security: building a foundation for a better life.
- Tuesday – Better jobs, pay, hours, conditions and worker voice.
- Wednesday – Better investment in life’s essentials.
- Thursday – Better investment in our communities.
- Friday – Warm homes, green travel, safe climate.
- Saturday – Reflection.
- Sunday – Reflection.
Each day we will be sending an email containing advice and where to go to get support on a range of topics.
