Thanks for posting the photos. My great grandfather John Palmer was gardener at Knockbrex in the early 20th century, and it’s great to see photos of the formal gardens. One of my GGG grandfathers lived in the gardener’s cottage at Knockbrex for a bit in the 1850s too so may also have been gardener on the estate for a time.
There is a transcription of a typewritten book, “That Land of Milk and Honey” written by John Palmer junior in 1992 and dedicated to his niece, Mrs Beryl Atkins.
