Borgue has a Victorian horse-drawn hearse. It was built in the 1890s and was used regularly for local funerals for around 100 years.
The hearse was last used for a funeral in Borgue in the early 2000s.
The hearse is owned by the Borgue community and is stored in the ‘Hearse House’ behind Borgue Church. It is currently (in 2020) in need of restoration.
